Background
Labelling of [*I]ß-CIT in high yields can be achieved by using stannylated precursors.2 Using chloramine T, peracetic acide or H2O2 the compound can be radioiodinated at room temperature at reaction times between 3-45 min.1,2,3 The final product can be purified by preparative HPLC or simply by solid phase extraction.1
Aims
The aim of this work is to automate the labelling of [*I]-β-CIT by radioiododestannylation on a Scintomics GRP module. This requires the modification of a SC-01 kit (ABX) and the development of an automatic and fast labelling program, which is easy to set up at a nuclear medicine facility.
Methods
The precursor, [*I]NaI and H2O2/AcOH was automatically mixed in the reactor vessel. After 20 min the reaction was quenched with NaHSO3 and neutralized with a NaOAc solution. The reaction mixture was transferred over a C18 SPE column and washed with water. Finally [*I]ß-CIT was eluted with 50 % ethanol.
