Aims
Our aim is to establish whether the radiolabelled AFi  is suitable for in vitro and in vivo detection/quantification of AF expression and to determine whether the tracer can be used for imaging the increased expression of AF in arthritis.
Methods
We synthesized 1 through a late-stage 11C-methylation. After automation and optimization of the radiosynthesis, the tracer was evaluated in vitro and in vivo in AF over-expressing HCT116 cells and xenografts. Initial preclinical assessment of 1 in arthritis model has been performed and a larger planned study is awaiting ethical approval.
