Figure 1. Histopathologic findings of sickle cell disease and
reactive thrombocytosis. A. Peripheral blood smear showed sickle cells,
target cells, hypochromic RBC, and increased platelets (Wright-Giemsa,
X100). B. Bone marrow aspirate showed mild erythroid megaloblastic
changes and increased megakaryocytes with hyperlobated forms
(Wright-Giemsa stain, X40). C. Bone marrow core biopsy showed increased
