Droplets at the local velocity extremes?
Fig. \ref{777179} shows that many of the sub-0.1 pc coherent structures–droplets–in L1688 sit around the local "velocity extremes." That is, each of these droplets appears to have a distribution of velocity centroids (from fitting NH3 hyperfine line profiles) that is locally the most red-/blue-shifted, with respect to the bulk of emission related to the dense gas in the "cloud."
